When the ‘bad’ bacteria outnumber the ‘good’ bacteria, it can lead to abnormal discharge, a fishy odour, itching and burning. Isla is about the size of a cigar. Only 5cm of the wand needs to be inserted into the vagina. It’s designed to be comfortable and not intrusive.

No, Isla should not be used every day as it can dry out your vagina. We recommend using Isla once a week for 1 minute OR every 3 days for 30 seconds.

If you overuse Isla, your vagina might become dry and itchy but don’t stress. Within a few days, things should be back to normal. In the meantime, use a lubricant and avoid sex as it might irritate your vagina further.

Yes. One of the ingredients in Isla absorbs excess mucous. The white stuff is just your body eliminating the mucous during the vaginal cleansing process. It will clear in a day or two and you’ll feel fresh and healthy.

No. You cannot use Isla while pregnant. We recommend waiting until your body has healed and your natural bodily fluids have returned before using Isla. If you have recently had a baby, please consult your doctor before using Isla.

No. You cannot use Isla while menstruating. Please wait until your period has finished.

Every woman is different. If you are experiencing vaginal dryness as a result of peri-menopause or menopause, Isla may not be right for you.

Isla will get smaller every time you rinse it, a bit like a bar of soap. Isla should be discarded or replaced after 10 weeks as the herbs will become less potent the more you use and rinse it.

We recommend rinsing Isla in COLD water after each use and storing in a cool, dry place in the bag provided. Do not rinse in warm or hot water as Isla is delicate and will disintegrate.

You will start to feel the tightening effect straight away but we recommend waiting an hour before having sex. Every person is different so see what works for you.

Isla might help with wet thrush but not dry thrush. Isla is predominantly used to help with the symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis so we recommend chatting to your doctor or pharmacist if you have thrush.
